Hello Students,

Your task this weekend is to begin reading William Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet.” An introduction to Shakespeare begins on page 724, and the play concludes on page 863; please note that the actual play’s end on page 851 is followed by important supporting information-know this too!

What follows are the seven handouts that you will each need to print and bring to class on Wednesday, February 24.

Please note that there will be an introductory quiz on William Shakespeare on Monday, February 22, and there will be an additional introductory quiz on Shakespeare’s poem “The Seven Ages of Man” on Wednesday, February 24. Found on pages 536-539, this poem must be memorized and will be recited on Thursday, February 25.
